Getting Back in the Closet

In my last blog, I spoke of Christians getting out of  their closet, that is time to quit hiding in our churches [closets] and get actively involved in opposing the social issues of our culture.  While I believe Christians should be “open” about their faith, the Word of God does talk about going back into our closet in secret. “When you pray, go into a room [closet] alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.”  Matthew 6:6

I am not sure which is harder, getting people ‘out’ of their closet and applying their faith to oImageur culture or getting people ‘back’ into their closets to pray. It is not either or,  but both. Ask any evangelical Christian and they will testify that they believe that God answers prayer. That being said why is it that most Christians do not pray more or at least have a consistent time of prayer?
